Overview

XWiki is an open source platform for building wikis, documentation, intranets and knowledge bases, presented as an alternative to Confluence, Notion and SharePoint. It can be self-hosted on Linux, Tomcat, Jetty, Docker or Debian, or run on XWiki Cloud. XWiki SAS sells paid subscriptions covering support, business applications and custom development.

Best for: Organisations wanting a self-hosted or cloud wiki, intranet or knowledge base instead of Confluence.
Pricing: The Community edition is free to self-host; paid plans are billed yearly, starting at 5 628,00 € per year for 100 users (about 4,69 € per user per month), with quotes for on-premise or custom projects.
