Overview

Sessy is an open-source dashboard for AWS SES email events. You create an SES configuration set and point its SNS destination at a Sessy webhook URL; sends, deliveries, bounces, complaints, opens, clicks, rejects, delays and rendering failures then appear in real time, searchable by recipient or subject. Run it with Docker or Kamal on your own server, or use the hosted version.

Best for
Developers sending through AWS SES who want delivery, bounce and engagement tracking they host themselves
Pricing
Self-hosting is free and open source, and the hosted version is free while it is in early-access beta; no prices are shown for after the beta.

Self-hosted

Strengths and trade-offs

Strengths

  • Deploys with one Docker command; SQLite or PostgreSQL, no external deps
  • Captures all major SES events, including bounces, opens and clicks
  • Read-only MCP server lets Claude Code, Cursor and Codex query events
  • Self-hosting is free and open source, with no volume or retention caps

Trade-offs

  • Works only with AWS SES; no other email providers are mentioned
  • Hosted version is in beta and pricing after early access is not stated
  • Self-hosting means running and updating the server yourself
  • Described as under active development, so behaviour will keep changing

Pricing

Published plans from Sessy’s own pricing page, in USD. Usage charges and add-ons may apply on top.
