Strengths and trade-offs
Strengths

- Choice of AI models: Claude, GPT, Gemini, Grok or a local model
- Bring your own AI subscription or API keys instead of credits
- Logpoints inspect running state without editing source code
Trade-offs
- Profiler, database, Spring and web tools are Ultimate-only
- AI usage costs sit on top of the IDE, via credits or your own keys
- 2026.2 fixed 140 freezes, so performance has been a known issue
