Overview

Warp is a terminal that runs coding agents alongside a shell. It shows sessions as vertical tabs with metadata such as git branch, worktrees and pull requests, includes a built-in Warp Agent, and can host Claude Code, Codex, Opencode and Gemini CLI. Agents run locally or in the cloud via Oz, its orchestration platform, and changes can be reviewed in-app.

Best for
Developers running coding agents like Claude Code or Codex who want them managed in one terminal.
Pricing
Free tier, then $20/month (Build), $200/month (Max), $50/user/month (Business) and custom pricing for Enterprise, with 10% off annual billing.

Strengths and trade-offs

Strengths

  • Runs Claude Code, Codex, Opencode and Gemini CLI in one terminal
  • Free tier includes the terminal and bring-your-own AI inference
  • Installers for macOS, Linux and Windows, including ARM builds
  • SOC 2 compliance, secret redaction and 1Password/LastPass reads

Trade-offs

  • Free tier caps indexing at 3 codebases and 30 stored conversations
  • AI runs on credits, so cost rises past the $20 included on Build
  • SAML SSO needs the $50/user Business plan; BYO LLM is Enterprise only
  • Business plan is capped at 25 seats; beyond that means Enterprise
