Overview

Ycode is a visual website builder and CMS that you can self-host or run on Ycode Cloud. Self-hosting means forking the GitHub repo, deploying to Vercel and connecting Supabase. You supply your own API keys for Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or xAI models, then use prompts to change layouts, spacing and responsive behaviour, manage CMS collections and fields, and build reusable components.

Best for
Teams building custom-design marketing sites who want a visual builder they can self-host
Pricing
Self-hosting is free at $0/month; Ycode Cloud is $25/month with a free trial.

Strengths and trade-offs

Strengths

  • Open source, with full code access when self-hosted
  • Self-hosting is free and uncapped on pages, users and CMS items
  • Bring your own AI keys: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or xAI
  • Managed cloud option at a flat $25 per month

Trade-offs

  • Self-host path as documented assumes GitHub, Vercel and Supabase
  • Cloud plan caps CMS items at 20,000; self-host has none
  • Self-host tier lists community support only, no email support
  • Latest release shown is 0.2.0, so the project is early in its versioning
