Overview

StatusScout monitors websites for uptime, SSL certificate expiry, missing security headers, DNS records including SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and publicly exposed config files or secrets. It also runs scheduled tests of user flows such as signup and checkout. Alerts are sent by email, SMS or ntfy, and the software is open source and can be self-hosted or bought as a hosted plan.

Best for
Agencies and solo developers needing uptime and site security monitoring without a DevOps team.
Pricing
Self-hosting is free forever (you pay for your own server); hosted plans are $19/month for Base and $35/month for Agency, both billed annually, after a 14-day trial.
