Overview
PeerDB replicates data out of Postgres into data warehouses, queues and storage, using change data capture from the Postgres replication slot alongside streaming queries. Initial loads run in parallel using transaction snapshotting and CTID scans. It is offered as free open-source software or as PeerDB Cloud, which replicates Postgres into ClickHouse Cloud.
- Best for
- Data teams moving Postgres data into ClickHouse Cloud, other warehouses or queues
- Pricing
- The open-source version is free; PeerDB Cloud offers a free trial then costs $250, $1,000, $2,000 or $4,000 per month depending on instance size.
- Runs on
- WebSelf-hosted
Strengths and trade-offs
