Overview

Bird is a communications API for sending and receiving email, SMS, WhatsApp and voice under one contract. Email is the shipped product: direct sending IPs, managed warm-up, ISP-aware routing, SPF/DKIM/DMARC and React Email templates, with per-channel webhooks and a test mode. It provides TypeScript, Python and Go SDKs, a CLI and a hosted MCP server; other channels are listed as coming soon.

Best for
Developer teams sending transactional email at volume who want one API and contract per channel.
Pricing
Free for 1,000 emails a month, then $15/month for 50K and $30 for 100K on Startup, $80/month at 100K down to $1,039 at 2.5M on Growth, with custom Enterprise pricing above that and dedicated IPs at $24.95/month each.
