Overview

Airbyte connects sources such as CRMs, support desks and code repositories through a library of managed connectors with built-in OAuth, then replicates, unifies and indexes that data into a Context Store. Agents query that one layer through MCP, an SDK, a CLI or an API instead of crawling live APIs. The store can be Airbyte-managed or kept in your own warehouse.

Best for
Developers building AI agents that need indexed, current data from business systems.
Pricing
Free plan with 1,000 agent operations a month, then $29/month (Individual) or $299/month (Team) with overage at $0.004–$0.005 per AO, plus a contact-sales Custom plan.
Runs on
WebCLI

Strengths and trade-offs

Strengths

  • Managed connectors with built-in OAuth for source authentication
  • Context Store can sit in your own warehouse, not just Airbyte's
  • One layer served over MCP, SDK, CLI and API for any agent framework
  • Free plan includes API and MCP access, 1,000 AOs a month

Trade-offs

  • Billing is in agent operations (AOs), which are hard to forecast up front
  • Free plan refreshes the Context Store only daily after the first 14 days
  • Multiple users and workspaces require the $299/month Team plan
  • Embedding agents in your own product needs a custom contract
